Historical Site in Dog Friendly Shores, Jupiter FL

 Historically The Shores has an exciting American military history. After a major battle with the Seminoles (The Battle of Loxahatchee), the U.S. Army established Old Fort Jupiter one mile to the east and the militiamen encampment right here on what is now Winding Lake Drive. Also in 1989 it was the site of an exciting archaeological excavation that was conducted on the 150 year old military encampment site of the Tennessee Mounted Volunteers.

The Shores in Jupiter is a dog friendly community with oak tree lined streets, side walks, ponds and easy access to I 95 and the turnpike.
