Hours:Limestone Creek Natural Area is open sunrise to sunset, seven days a week. Admission is free.

Public Use Facilities:
There is a parking area for five cars, a bus, there is a bicycle rack, a kiosk with educational exhibits, an accessible nature trail that leads to a covered observation platform, a 150 foot fishing pier on the west end of the northern oxbow and a hiking trail from the fishing pier west to Island Way Road over the upper weir. The loop trail will connect to a future canoe/kayak launch area. There are no restroom facilities or drinking water on the natural area.

Site Information:
The natural area contains mesic flatwoods, scrubby flatwoods, hydric hammock, and mangrove swamp. The natural area is part of the Northern Everglades Natural Area (NENA).

Plants:
Plant species on the site include pinebarren goldenrod, Florida sensitive briar, shortleaf wild coffee, southern dewberry, gallberry, Simpson stopper, bracken fern, hammock snakeroot, and red mangrove.

Wildlife:
Listed animals observed on site: gopher tortoise, West-Indian manatee, American redstart, little blue heron, yellow-crowned night-heron, osprey, and bald eagle.
